Your agreement with Gus
Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.1. Effective 12 October 2026.
This policy sets out what you can and can’t do with Gus. It’s part of our Terms of Service. Words that are defined there have the same meaning here.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every business that uses Gus and to everyone on its crew. If you’re the account owner, you’re responsible for making sure your crew follows it, and for the messages Gus sends in your business’s name.
Gus is run by Inova AI Solutions Pty Ltd (ACN 698 288 836, ABN 19 698 288 836) trading as Gus AI (a registered business name).
2. What you must do
When you use Gus, you must:
- follow the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law and NSW fair trading laws, plus the equivalent laws wherever your clients are;
- follow WhatsApp’s Business Terms and Business Messaging Policy, which apply to messages Gus sends through WhatsApp;
- only give Gus information you have the right to share, and tell your clients how you handle their information;
- check important work before you rely on it or send it, such as quotes, invoices and prices;
- keep your account and linked phones secure; and
- work with us if we contact you about a complaint, a security issue or a possible breach of this policy.
3. What you must not do
3.1 Unlawful or harmful use
Don’t use Gus to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one;
- harass, threaten, bully, defame or discriminate against anyone;
- create or send hateful, violent or extremist content;
- create or send sexual content, or anything that exploits or harms children; or
- run scams, fraud, phishing or pyramid schemes, or make false or misleading claims about your business, prices or services.
3.2 Messaging and spam
Gus sends messages in your business’s name, so these rules matter. Don’t use Gus to:
- message people who haven’t agreed to hear from you, unless the law allows it;
- send bulk or cold marketing messages, or buy or scrape contact lists to message;
- keep messaging someone who has asked you to stop. Opt-outs must be respected straight away;
- hide who you are, or pretend to be another business or person; or
- message people at unreasonable hours outside the quiet hours you’ve set.
3.3 Being honest about AI
Don’t:
- tell Gus to deny being AI, or claim to a client that a human wrote something when they sincerely ask;
- use Gus to make it look like a real person said or agreed to something they didn’t; or
- create or use a voice, image or likeness of a real person without their consent.
3.4 Sensitive information
Don’t put the following into Gus, unless we’ve agreed in writing that a feature is built to handle it:
- full credit or debit card numbers, or card security codes;
- bank account login details or passwords;
- tax file numbers, Medicare numbers, passport or driver licence numbers; or
- health information, or other sensitive information about your clients, beyond what’s genuinely needed for a booking (for example, “client prefers ground-floor access” is fine; medical records are not).
If this information ends up in Gus by accident, delete it from the dashboard or ask us to. We may automatically remove or block it.
3.5 Security
Don’t:
- try to get into accounts, systems or data you aren’t allowed to access;
- probe, scan or test Gus for weaknesses without our written permission. If you find a security issue, please report it to support@higus.ai;
- upload viruses or malicious code;
- overload Gus, or try to get around rate limits or usage limits; or
- share your login with people outside your business.
3.6 Misusing Gus itself
Don’t:
- resell, rent or rebrand Gus, or offer it to other businesses as your own service;
- copy, reverse engineer or extract Gus’s software, prompts or models;
- use Gus or its outputs to build or train a competing product;
- use automated tools to scrape Gus; or
- use Gus as a general-purpose chatbot unrelated to running your business.
3.7 High-risk uses
Don’t rely on Gus alone for decisions where a mistake could seriously hurt someone, such as medical, legal or safety-critical decisions. Gus doesn’t give professional advice.
4. Fair use
Each plan is built for the normal needs of a business of its size. If your usage is far above what’s normal for your plan, or is affecting Gus for other customers, we’ll contact you first. We may then ask you to move to a plan that fits, or temporarily slow down or limit the activity causing the problem.
5. Emergencies
Gus isn’t an emergency service. Never rely on it to contact or respond to an emergency. In an emergency, call 000.
6. What happens if this policy is broken
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may:
- contact you to explain the problem and ask you to fix it;
- remove or block specific content or messages;
- pause automatic messaging, or other features, until it’s fixed; or
- suspend or close your account under our Terms of Service, for serious or repeated breaches.
We’ll usually talk to you first. We may act straight away if there’s a risk of harm to people, a legal or regulatory requirement, or a risk to our WhatsApp access. We’ll tell you what we did and why, unless the law stops us.
If you think we got it wrong, email support@higus.ai and a person will review it.
7. Reporting misuse
If you’ve received a message from Gus that you think breaks this policy, or you’ve found a security issue, please email support@higus.ai. Tell us the business name and phone number the message came from, and when it arrived.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We’ll give customers at least 30 days’ notice of significant changes, unless we need to act sooner because of the law, WhatsApp’s rules or an urgent risk.
